Audiology

MUSC Department of Otolaryngology offers full diagnostic and rehabilitative services for pediatric patients in our Pediatric Audiology Clinic. Comprehensive evaluations for infants, children and adolescents are available. Testing by our pediatric audiologists may include:

Otoacoustic emissions
Auditory brainstem response (with sedation if necessary)
Visual reinforcement audiometry
Conditioned play audiometry
Conventional audiometry
Central auditory processing
Tympanometry/acoustic reflexes

Treatment of hearing disorders is provided through a team approach, involving the pediatric audiologists, ENT physicians, pediatric speech language pathologists and the cochlear implant team.

Our pediatric audiology clinic is located on the 2nd floor of the Rutledge Tower. We see patients Monday through Friday, by scheduled appointment.
