MUSC's Storm Eye Institute works closely with MUSC Children's Hospital to offer the most advanced treatments and technology for pediatric patients. Some of these services include diagnosis and treatment of childhood ocular disorders such as strabismus (crossed eyes), lazy eye, hereditary eye diseases and eye problems associated with low birth weight or premature birth. Childhood cataracts are treated using the newest intraocular lens implants. From creating a child-friendly environment to helping young patients deal with visiting the doctor, the professional, caring pediatric staff is fully trained to meet the special needs of children.

Pediatric ophthalmology clinic is located on the first floor of MUSC Children's Hospital. Hours are Monday through Friday between 8:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. New patients can schedule appointments by calling MUSC Health Connection at (843) 792-1414 or toll free at 1-800-424-MUSC.
