Orthopaedic Surgery
Orthopaedics is the branch of medicine concerned with injuries and other conditions involving the
musculoskeletal system. The pediatric orthopaedic surgeons at MUSC are dedicated to helping children
and families who are faced with these challenges.
Pediatric orthopaedic surgeons provide diagnosis, management and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions that
affect children - from birth through adolescence. Children require care from highly specialized physicians to
address their needs as they grow and develop.
Our pediatric orthopaedic surgeons care for conditions such as:
- Scoliosis and other spinal deformities
- Club foot
- Sports injuries
- Hip dysplasia
- Limb length abnormalities and angular deformities
- Bone and joint infections
- Orthopaedic aspects of neurological disorders
The orthopaedic clinic is located on the first floor of Rutledge Tower.
