Speech Language Pathology The Evelyn Trammell Institute for Voice and Swallowing The Evelyn Trammell Institute for Voice and Swallowing specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic intervention for speech, language, voice, resonance, feeding and swallowing. They consult frequently with pediatric subspecialists in such areas as otolaryngology, pulmonology, developmental pediatrics, neurology, gastroenterology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy to provide care for children with complex medical problems. Our pediatric speech language pathologists treat a variety of conditions which include: Premature birth Cerebral palsy Down Syndrome Cleft lip/palate Genetic disorders Head injury Stroke Trauma Apraxia Autism Hearing impairment Developmental delays Articulation & phonological errors Dysphagia Our speech language pathology clinics are located: Downtown - 2nd floor Rutledge Tower Downtown - 208B Rutledge Ave (on the corner of Cannon & Rutledge Street) Mount Pleasant - 1280 Johnnie Dodds Blvd Suite 105 North Charleston - Medically Fragile Children's Program Our clinic hours are 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
