After-Hours Care
MUSC Children's Hospital is pleased to provide an after-hours care clinic in North Charleston and Mount Pleasant. Delivering immediate medical attention to children, from newborns to 17 years of age, at times when their doctor's office is closed.

Hours:
4 p.m. - 10 p.m. Monday through Friday
12 p.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays
Offering:
- Visits (episodic illnesses including sore throats, earaches, bronchitis, cough, colds and flu and upset stomach, sprains, strains and fracture care (sports-related injuries))
- Asthma therapies - breathing treatments
- Point of care testing - urinalysis, RSV, influenza, rapid strep
- Urinary catheterization
- IV therapy for dehydration
- Splinting
- Simple laceration repair with glue and/or steri-strips
- Foreign body removal
- On-site digital X-ray capabilities
The North Charleston Clinic has six exam rooms and Mt. Pleasant Clinic has ten exam rooms, both having a child friendly waiting area, a triage room, and digital x-ray service. The clinic staff assists with the transfer of any patient who needs more specialty-based care or has an acute illness that requires more serious intervention.
