Registered Nurse IV - NICU Educator
Assumes responsiblilty for coordinating orientation and educational programs required to meet identified
patients, staff and organizational outcomes within Perinatal Services. Plans, implements and evaluates
clinical practice and educational programs which include orientation, recruitment initiatives for
perinatal/neonatal nurses and ongoing education based on specific needs and learning objectives. Collaborates
with all disciplines to support patient care and staff education. Collaborates effectively with the leadership
team to accomplish quality, safety, efficiency, recruitment and retention goals. Master's degree in Nursing
and three years of demonstrated experience in a clinical specialty area. Reports to the Perinatal Director
of the Children's Hospital. This position requires clinical expertise and knowledge of neonatal intensive
care nursing. Written and verbal communication, mentoring, coaching, leadership and organizational skills
required. The scope of this position requires staff development and life-long learning which meets the needs
of a staff which ranges from the novice to the expert nurse. (Position #A0731235) DAYS 8:15 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Pediatric Medical Surgical RNs
We are seeking registered nurses for our medical/surgical pediatric units, 7A and 8D. 8D is a
family-centered infant/toddler unit treating children with a variety of medical needs, primarily
respiratory and GI. 7A is similar to 8D and cares for older children with a variety of diagnosis
and needs. Great teamwork and interdisciplinary collegiality is a large part of this unit's
philosophy. A pediatric educator assures that orientation and ongoing staff development needs are
met.
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) manages a case load of neonatal patients with consultation, collaboration, and general supervision
from a physician. Utilizing the extensive knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and physiology, acquired, the NNP exercises independent
judgement in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of certain delegated medical process and procedure. The NNP provides individualized,
goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process;
delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
Pediatric Oncology/Sub Specialty RN
We have a need for experienced pediatric nurses interested in the specialty of pediatric oncology. This 22-bed unit cares for patients from 2
weeks to 29 years old requiring diagnosis/treatment of hematology/oncology, renal/urologic abnormalities and endocrine dysfunction. Under general
supervision, the registered nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the
principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve
desired results.
