2008 Holiday Cards
Each year patients, siblings and young friends of the Children's Hospital contribute their creative artwork
for our holiday card program. With local sponsors underwriting the costs of this project, all proceeds will
benefit the research and programs at our hospital. Click here

SC Society of the Children of the American Revolution Fundraiser
South Carolina Society of the Children of the American Revolution has chosen to help Pediatric Cardiology at the Children’s Hospital as their
year-long state project. Each year the state president selects a project that he or she will pursue during the one-year term of office.
This year’s president, Thomas Burnette has dreams of one day being a doctor and chose to benefit Pediatric Cardiology by raising funds through
the sale of pins, auctions, fundraisers as well as a toydrive and sewing blank dolls. Heart pins can be purchased for $10 at
www.scscar.org or by calling 803-760-2004. All proceeds will benefit the MUSC Children’s Hospital Fund for Pediatric Cardiology.

Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive (Through Jan 1)
Barnes & Noble stores across the country are launching an annual Holiday Book Drive, which runs through
Jan. 1. The drive provides an opportunity for customers to donate books to children in need through local
nonprofit organizations. This year, the West Ashley Barnes & Noble will collect books for MUSC Children's
Hospital's Happy Wheels Program, while the Mount Pleasant store is collecting for The Christmas Commandos,
dedicated to bringing a full Christmas to children who are facing their first yuletide after the death of
a parent. The North Charleston Barnes & Noble is devoting its efforts to collecting for Toys for Tots.
Sunoco's Children's Miracle Network Campaign (Through December 31)
Purchase $1 Children's Miracle Network paper balloons at all Charleston area Sunoco Stations to benefit the
children at MUSC Children's Hospital. Every dollar raised stays here in the Lowcountry to improve the lives
of our children.

Free Diabetic Pregnancy Talk (January 7)
Whether you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, pregnancy presents unique challenges. On January 7, 9:15 a.m., Jill Mauldin, MD,
will address various issues related to diabetic pregnancy. The talk is free will be located at Citadell Mall, 2070 Sam Rittenberg Blvd,
