3rd Annual Marriott Golf Tournament
Come out for a great day of golf at Charleston National Country Club on Thursday, September 18th, 2008. The Captain’s Choice Shot-Gun start tees off at 1:30pm and a reception will follow. Cost is $125 per person and teams will be 4 players. Grand prize will be Lodging and Golf for Four Renaissance at World Golf Village. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at MUSC Children’s Hospital.

3rd Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show - August 23rd
3rd Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show to benefit the MUSC Children’s Hospital Fund at the Goose Creek Wal-Mart (605 St. James Avenue) from 10am-3:00pm. Over 30 classes plus Best of Show, Car, Truck and Bike. Registration is only $15 and the public is invited to attend. The Red Cross Bloodmobile will also be on site. Party with a Purpose - August 29th
“Party with a Purpose” at Mad River Bar and Grill. Join the MUSC Children’s Hospital Fund for Happy Hour from 6-9pm. A $5.00 cover charge will be collected a the door with all proceeds going to the Children’s Hospital Fund. There will be drink specials, food and guest bartenders.
More aid for Medicaid
The Bowman family is traveling to Washington today to lobby for federal support of children's hospitals through better Medicaid funding. They will join families served by more than 30 hospitals across the country in an effort organized by the National Association of Children's Hospitals.
More than 50 percent of the patients seen at MUSC Children's Hospital receive Medicaid, according to hospital Administrator John Sanders. '(The legislators') decisions on funding affect the services we provide,' Sanders said.
